movies have always had military propaganda in them but it has never been this apparent/this bad up until captain marvel, like its recruitment marketed as feminism, it’s recruitment ads before the movie plays (in the states obviously), it’s the air force flying over the premiere, it’s the air force members who were in the audience for one of brie larsons interviews, and it’s having the star brie larson participate in ads for the department of defense. like hollywood has always had to work closely with the Pentagon in order to use military property for props in films but you can’t be mad at people for not paying a lot of attention till now cause it’s never been this apparent till now
