exactly. the one that i saw posted this stupid ass passive-agressive (actually it really was just aggressive) response like “what the fuck do you WANT me to draw???? people DYING???? i can’t draw people dying!!!!” like okay but you can also not fucking draw a white person with a fucking halo around their head like they’re some divine saint in the wake of a mass shooting against muslims but okay other artists have been 1. doing commissions and donating the proceeds to the victims of christchurch 2. spreading info posts about where white ppl in nz can offer their support 3. uplifting the voices of muslims who are speaking out against islamophobia, like leen dweik like it’s not that difficult to be an actual ally and grieve with us and actively care about dismantling islamophobia in our communities but when has that ever been the focus any time shit like this happens lmao even in the wake of a horrible tragedy.
