why do parents leave the older by like 3 years siblings in charge of the Babies… like i get it if ur leaving a legit teenager in charge of an 8 year old but leaving an 11 year old in charge of an 8 yr old… what went thru your mind. thats a child. like that is an actual child.

my little sister has two friends who are 8 and 11 respectively and they’re sisters and the 11 year old is always left in charge of the 8 year old. the other day i watched the 8 year old scream at the 11 year old for a good 15 minutes because she didn’t want to go back home. i tried to help a little but the kid doesnt really know me. but anyway i just think it really isn’t fair to that little girl that she has to be some kind of stand-in parent for when their actual, adult parents are away/busy. that’s a little girl. i really thought she was around my age at first because of the way she was talking to her sister. being left to care for a little kid is so much responsibility… other little kids shouldnt have to do that… there are laws about babysitting ages. and ALSO if you ARE going to leave your older children in charge of your younger children please teach them some semblance of respect for their older siblings (especially sisters!!!). like the 8 year old was just screaming. what was her sister supposed to do. what the fuck
